My First Blog Post
Hi, my name is Adrian Beeby and this is my blog about the life of a student in Chico States Whitney Hall. Whitney Hall has a fun, social, and exciting atmosphere. You may experience a lot of noise, because of the social aspect of the hall, however this is what makes it so easy to meet new people. The people in Whitney are very friendly and create a communal environment. In this blog I will cover some interesting facts about the facility and a little bit of its history. I will also go over some of the interesting events that take place with the people in the community. The environment is great here and the resident advisors make you feel like you are at home and always safe. The rooms are a pretty good size and some of the facilities like the elevator, bathrooms, lobby, and study lounges are usually clean. Sometimes you get the occasional messy study lounge, dirty elevator on a Friday and Saturday night, or flooding in the bathrooms, however, for the most part the custodians keep the dorm clean as best as they can. We also have lots of good benefits we get for free in the dorm like free internet, free printing, and free basic cable along with our internet. The internet for the most part is fast and reliable and the basic cable is enough for what I would use. The free printing is a very good thing to have as a first year college student because of all the documents I may need to bring to class, or anywhere else on campus. Near the printing we have a nice study area with computers and chairs that is set up to make it very social and easy for when you need help or just need a study group to help you through your final. There are definitely a lot of fun people, events, and convenient benefits to living in Whitney.
